Changes in the Oropharyngeal Microbiome in Moderate-to-Severe Tobacco Dependence Before and After 30 Days of Smoking Cessation

In order to enhance our understanding of the impact of smoking and smoking cessation on oral microbiota, this study utilizes mNGS (metagenomic next-generation sequencing) technology to explore changes in the throat microbiota of individuals with heavy tobacco dependence before and after smoking cessation.
