Enrolment of pupils in primary education (01-09-2014-01-10-2014)

The Act on Primary Education (WPO) provides that children from 4 to 12 years of age can attend primary education, two of which are different types: * Regular primary education: Children who attend primary education without much extra help. Children with disabilities can also attend school within regular primary education. Since the introduction of the appropriate education in 2014/'15, the funding of special facilities for these pupils has been arranged by the partnerships. See www.passendonderwijs.nl. • Special primary education: Children, who need more assistance in education and learning than primary education can provide, are dependent on special primary education. This type of education typically has smaller classes than primary education and has more separate experts to accompany pupils with learning and education problems. This file contains only pupils who attend (special) primary education in a school year, and not pupils who only attend special education in a school year. Special education is for children who cannot attend (special) primary education due to a disability. Although almost all pupils have only 1 enrolment, it may happen that a student had more than one in a school year. However, only one enrolment per student is included in this file, namely the main registration on 1 October. Please note: from school year 2014/'15, the teacher’s advice for further education after grade 8 has become more important than the test result. The teacher first gives an advice (WPOADVIESVO) after which the student later takes a test. If the result of the test includes a higher opinion, the student has the right to discuss the final advice. As a result, some of these students actually receive higher final advice. This final opinion has not yet been included in the component. Team Education plans to complement the component in the 2nd half of 2018 with this given. Since 2014/'15 schools can choose from more test providers. As of 2010/'11, schools are funded on the basis of the educational number files and the files are complete. ### Population Each record is a student with a valid enrolment in (special) primary education. Students in special education are not included in the file.
