Land-based sports betting was legalized in the U.S. state of West Virginia as of March 9, 2018. This means it is now possible to play college sports betting, MLB sports betting, and NBA sports betting in the state. In June 2024, West Virginia generated 3.42 million U.S. dollars from sports betting, down from the previous month's total of 3.71 million U.S. dollars.
