资源简介:
With the Thai government taking strong preventative measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, Thailand, much like other parts of the world, saw an increase inworking from home schemes enforced by the government. This restricted most people’s daily movement as they were not able to go out and partake in any form of physical activity which then led to increased depression and mental illnesses. These issues are most prominent amongst office workers as the COVID-19 pandemic has seen an increase inwork stress. Seeing this change in human behavior, fitness companies in countries such as the United States of America and the United Kingdom started implementing a hybrid program which gave members the option to train both at the gym physically, but also the ability to train online via the gym’s online platform or through social media channels. With no companies in Thailand introducing the hybrid training system, the aim of the project was to see if the program would be successful in Thailand based on the information retrieved from a survey conducted amongst 144 office workers in Bangkok. The study found that although the hybrid system would solve many issues which officeworkers in Bangkok are facing, in terms of signing up to a gym, such as the lack of affordability, convenience, and time, the consumer’s behavior would still prefer an onsite-only training method. In conclusion, although the hybrid system may work in the west, the implementation of such a system may not be feasible due to consumer’s preferring to trainonsite and their expected ticket size being too low.
