Bioinformatics analysis and specimen data. The RNA-Seq expression datasets GSE286262 (single-cell RNA sequencing, scRNA-seq) based on the platform GPL2467 Illumina NextSeq 500 (Homo sapiens) and the scRNA expression dataset GSE40732 based on the platform GPL16025 NimbleGen Homo sapiens Expression Array [100718_HG18_opt_expr] were downloaded from the public GEO database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/). The inclusion criteria were set as follows: (1) samples obtained from human gene expression arrays; (2) GSE286262 includes single-cell scRNA-seq datasets of airway epithelial cells from 2 healthy children and 2 children with asthma, and GSE40732 contains airway epithelial transcriptomic data obtained from 97 children with asthma and 97 healthy children. After removing missing values, all data were grouped. The expression profiles FPKM were converted to TPM (transcripts per kilobase) and further analyzed as log2(FPKM + 1).
