Dataset from paper entitled :"Muscle cramp susceptibility is associated with muscle-specific modulation of human motoneuron discharge patterns"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains participant-level and motor-unit-level data collected as part of a study investigating neuromuscular characteristics associated with muscle cramp susceptibility. The dataset is provided as a single Excel file divided into three worksheets: Data — Participant-level physiological and neuromuscular variables, including torque-related outcomes, torque-time integrals, sustained electromyographic activity, warm-up and vibration-related variables, maximal voluntary contraction, voluntary activation, stimulation intensity, H-reflex and M-wave measures, cramp threshold frequency, and force-tracking error. MU_analysis — Variables calculated for each identified motor unit, including raw and normalized brace height, maximal discharge rate, acceleration and attenuation slopes, the angle between these slopes, recruitment and derecruitment thresholds, and self-sustained discharge duration. MUpair_analysis — Variables calculated for the motor-unit pairs used in the ΔF analysis, including ΔF and normalized ΔF/k values. Each row in the Data worksheet corresponds to one participant. Each row in the MU_analysis worksheet corresponds to one identified motor unit for a given participant, muscle, experimental status, and time point. Each row in the MUpair_analysis worksheet corresponds to one motor-unit pair included in the ΔF analysis. The recorded muscles are the medial gastrocnemius, coded as GM, and the soleus, coded as SOL. In worksheets containing the variable Time, the coding is: pre: measurement performed before the experimental protocol; post: measurement performed after the experimental protocol. In worksheets containing the variable Status, the coding is: Control: control participant; Cramp: participant presenting muscle cramp susceptibility according to the classification used in the study. Missing values are left blank in the Excel file. A detailed README file accompanies the dataset and provides the definition, coding, and unit of each variable, together with the correspondence between the dataset and the figures, tables, and results reported in the associated article.
