Mechanism of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharides in the treatment of prostate cancer based on network pharmacology and experimental verification

To investigate the effects of Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharides (PSP) on the proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis, and cell cycle of PC-3 prostate cancer (PCa) cells, and to reveal its association with the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT)/nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)/Caspase-3 signaling pathway. CCK-8 assay, wound healing assay, Transwell assay, and flow cytometry were used to detect cell proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis, and cell cycle distribution.
