ESA landcover - continental subsets

This dataset contains 11 regional ZIP archives of landcover raster subsets derived from the global ESA WorldCover (https://esa-worldcover.org/en) landcover layers at 30 arc-second resolution, with the following variables: trees, grassland, shrubs, cropland, built, bare, snow, water, wetland, mangroves, and moss. The original global raster files are stored as individual GeoTIFFs named landcover_<variable>.tif after download and are stacked during extraction. The uploaded regional archives are: Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Australia, Indo-Pacific, Eurasia, Holarctic, New World, and Old World. Each ZIP archive contains 11 GeoTIFF layers, one for each landcover variable listed above. All 121 subset GeoTIFFs were created successfully, and all 11 ZIP archives were created successfully, with 11 files per archive. Spatial reference systemGeographic longitude/latitude coordinates in decimal degrees. In the associated workflow, occurrence coordinates default to EPSG:4326, and landcover extraction is performed after checking raster CRS compatibility and projecting coordinates if necessary. The ZIP structure allows users to download only the geographic subset relevant to their study area rather than the full global landcover set.
