VPRS 18794 Tidal Prediction and Lunar Phenomena Books

This series comprises books that were created to document tidal predictions and lunar phenomena. The information recorded in these volumes includes various calculations including stellar and solar observations, moon phases and transits, measurements for high water and low water tides, measurements for slack water floods and slack water ebbs and tide prediction tables, sunset and sunrise times by date and location and weather tables. The data has been gathered from across different locations and jurisdictions including Cape Otway, Wilsons Promontory, Gabo Island, Williamstown, Port Phillip Heads and Victorian and Tasmanian Lighthouse Stations. Before coming into the custody of Public Record Office Victoria, this series was held at the Queenscliffe Maritime Museum.
