Data and Coding Protocol for the Water–Energy Nexus Corpus (71 articles)

This dataset underpins an ongoing research program on the global water–energy nexus. It includes: Metadata for 71 peer-reviewed articles (titles, journals, years, DOIs). The Nine-Dimension taxonomy (68 analytical categories) derived from expert elicitation and systematic refinement. The coding protocol (κ = 0.60) detailing inclusion criteria, coding rules, and reliability assessment. These files enable replication of all descriptive statistics, co-occurrence networks, and comparative gap analyses reported in current and forthcoming manuscripts. Researchers may also reuse the taxonomy and protocol to code new corpora or extend our work to other regions. Version 2 replaces Coding_Protocol_v1.pdf with a corrected file. Nexus71_Metadata.xlsx and Nexus9D_taxonomy.csv remain unchanged.
