Natural abundance nitrogen isotopes in a tile-drained corn-soybean rotation

This dataset provides data used in the manuscript "Natural abundance nitrogen isotopes in a tile-drained corn-soybean rotation". It supports a study on nitrogen (N) source-sink dynamics in corn–soybean rotations by integrating natural abundance N isotope measurements (δ¹⁵N, δ¹⁸O) from tile drainage, soil profiles, and crop biomass to characterize temporal and spatial patterns of N. Laboratory soil incubations were also conducted to quantify isotope effects during denitrification. Together, these data support a dual mass and isotope balance framework that accounts for N inputs, outputs, and changes in system stocks.
