RNA sequencing of hardy kiwifruit (Actinidia arguta cv autumn sence) stored at low temperatures

Hardy kiwifruit (Actinidia arguta) is a member of the Actinidiaceae family and is a climacteric fruit. It is stored at low temperatures to prolong shelf-life due to the soft nature of the skin and flesh after ripening. However, long-term cold storage may cause low-temperature injury to harvested kiwifruit. To understand postharvest physiological changes in climacteric kiwifruit, we compared transcriptomic changes in hardy kiwifruit stored at two low-temperature levels.
