Genetic sequences of the viruses that constitute the virome of the sugarcane weevil Sphenophorus levis naturally occurring in a sugarcane production area in São Joaquim da Barra, São Paulo (-20.48266667 S -47.87330556 W). RNA was extracted from the insect guts using the Total RNA Purification Kit from Norgen Biotek Corp, and half of the samples were processed using the NEBNext Poly(A) mRNA Magnetic Isolation Module from New England BioLabs Inc. The library was prepared with the Zymo-Seq RiboFree Total RNA Library Kit from Zymo Research and sequenced with Illumina NextSeq.
