Dataset Are quality assessments in science affected by anchoring effects?

Stata data set and do file for replicating "Are quality assessments in science affected by anchoring effects? Empirical results from a survey of authors assessing previously cited papers" (PLOS ONE) by Lutz Bornmann ([e-mail]) and Christian Ganser ([e-mail]). It contains experimental data from a survey among corresponding authors of scientific articles who where asked to rate references they cited in their papers. The authors were randomly assigned to different experimental settings in which they received (or not) (1) a randomly generated anchor that is not related to the quality of publications, (2) information about the (true) citation impact of the paper (as an anchor with possibly relevant information) and were (or were not) informed about the use of the numbers as an anchor.
