Female candidates in the parliamentary election in Norway 2017-2021, by party

Of the larger political parties, the Progress Party had the lowest share of female candidates for the parliamentary election in 2021. The Red Party had the highest share with 56 percent of the candidates. Except for the Progress Party and other parties, all Norwegian political parties had more than 45 percent proportion of candidates who are women. Overall, 40 percent of the candidates for the parliamentary election in Norway in 2021 are female, dropping from 42 percent in 2017.
