This umbrella BioProject consolidates multiple sequencing initiatives by US federal agencies, specifically targeting non-wild type isolates of enteric bacteria. It encompasses whole genome sequences from proficiency test isolates, certification isolates, laboratory control strains, reference datasets, and validation isolates. Data generated from these efforts are crucial to the quality assurance and quality control processes that underpin public health decision-making in the surveillance and control of foodborne pathogens.
