Point cloud from terrestrial laser scanning of the Cowdray Colossus and the Cowdray Colossus' mate, Cowdray Park, UK

Point clouds of the Cowdray Colossus (<em>Castanea sativa</em>) and an adjacent smaller <em>Castanea sativa </em>located in Cowdray Park, West Sussex, UK (Google Maps). A 3D model of the Cowdray Colossus and the Cowdray Collossus' mate can be viewed on SketchFab and more information on the trees history on monumentaltrees.com. Data was captured on 20/4/2021 with a RIEGL VZ-400 terrestrial laser scanner from 13 scan locations around the tree. The weather was good, with little to no noticeable wind. Data is a binary PLY format with reflectance and deviation fields. Note these data still includes some ground returns. Please acknowledge the data set authors if using this data.
