Aeromonas salmonicida Genome Sequencing and qPCR Test Development

This project focuses on whole genome sequencing of multiple Aeromonas species, including Aeromonas salmonicida, to identify species- and strain-specific genetic markers. The goal is to develop and validate quantitative PCR (qPCR) assays for accurate detection and differentiation of Aeromonas salmonicida from closely related species. These assays will support improved diagnostics and monitoring in aquaculture and fisheries health management.
