PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge door which is applicable to a sliding door to reduce production costs， and a method of using the hinged door. SOLUTION: A hinged door 1 applicable to a sliding door comprises: a plate-like door panel body 11; and a groove 12 which is， on an upper surface of the door panel body 11， formed in a certain width from the vicinity of one side surface to the vicinity of the other side surface without being opened to the two surfaces. Furthermore， when the hinged door 1 is used as a hinged door， the groove 12 is left as it is in use. When used as a sliding door， a belt-like slide piece projecting upward from the upper surface of the door panel body 11 and inserted into a lintel groove of a lintel is attached to the grove 12 in use.
