Microbial diversity of microbial electrosyntheis reactor

The project aims to produce long-chain fatty acids (greater than C2) in a microbial electrosynthesis reactor using carbon dioxide as the carbon source and ethanol as an additional electron donor. The applied cathode potential is expected to influence the microbial community composition. Additionally, the presence of ethanol is anticipated to support the growth of chain elongation bacteria, leading to the production of butyric acid and caproic acid.
