Raw Dataset: Impact of Assistive Walking Aids on Wearable Accuracy in Aging Populations
收藏资源简介:
This dataset was generated as part of the study titled “Impact of Assistive Walking Aids on Wearable Accuracy in Aging Populations.” It includes step count and distance measurements collected from older adult participants under various walking conditions, including treadmill walking at different speeds and the Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT). Measurements were obtained using three different methods: Apple Watch Series 8, Omron Walking Style IV pedometer, and manual tally counter (clicker). Participants also walked under different assistive conditions, including use of a knee brace, forearm crutches, rolling walker, and an oxygen tank. The dataset includes demographic variables (age, sex, height, weight, BMI, arm length), along with device-based and manually recorded step and distance data. These data support the evaluation of the accuracy and reliability of wearable devices in populations using assistive walking aids and can be reused in future research on gait analysis, wearable validation, and geriatric mobility.
