16S rRNA Amplicon Profiling of Bacterial Communities in Malaysian Drinking Water Reservoirs

This project investigates the bacterial community structure in eight freshwater reservoirs used for drinking water supply across Peninsular Malaysia. Using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing, the study aims to characterize microbial diversity and assess potential differences associated with environmental conditions and anthropogenic activities. The data will contribute to understanding microbial ecology in surface water sources and support efforts toward water quality monitoring and management.
