In the past decade comma nearby dwarf galaxies have emerged as exciting observational laboratories for studying the still-mysterious origin of supermassive black holes in the early Universe and their impact on galaxies. This proposal aims for a 50 ks XMM-Newton program to obtain a deep X-ray spectrum of a recently discovered openParand heretefore uniqueclosePar candidate Compton-thick AGN in the nucleus of the nearby dwarf galaxy Mrk 462.
