Birds of Sothern Californiaâ s Deep Canyon

A long-range study of Deep Canyon Transect's avain population, underway the past three years, is expected to climax in the 1981-1982 fiscal year with publication of a book tentatively titled Birds of Southern California's Deep Canyon. The author and principal investigator is Dr. W. W. Weathers of the avian sciences department at UC Davis. Dr. W. W. Mayhew, director of Deep Canyon, has contributed much of the field work for this new publication. It is under consideration as a Deep Canyon Series addition for early spring publication, 1982.
