RNA-seq of human hepatic stellate cell co-cultured with Schistosoma japonicum worm

We constructed a Transwell co-culture model of S. japonicum with HSCs to mimic the stimulation of the worm on HSCs. Analysis of the transcriptional profiles of HSCs showed that the differentially expressed genes were mainly enriched in the signaling pathways such as collagen fibers and extracellular matrix formation, suggested that the worms might have a potential effect on the activation of HSCs.
