Bundesweite Befragung zum Umgang mit der Covid-19-Pandemie in Landkreisen und kreisfreien Städten

The survey targeted local administrations of all 401 German districts and independent cities. Participants received invitations with individualized links by post and email. Participation was voluntary without incentives; however, the German County Association (Deutscher Landkreistag) supported the survey. The survey was conducted via the Unipark platform and question validity was pre-tested between 02 March and 06 March 2021. Overall, 187 individuals participated: 59% were heads or members of the crisis management team, 7% representatives of the local public health office, 29% mayors, district administrators, or chiefs of staff, and 5% did not provide information about their position.
