Genome mining of biosynthetic gene clusters to explore secondary metabolites of Streptomyces sp.

Marine derived Streptomyces are known to be well adapted to the extreme environments in the oceans. They produce a plethora of metabolites of ecological and pharmaceutical importance. This study deals with the isolation and characterization of Streptomyces spp. from the western coast of India that exhibit varied activities like antibacterial and enzyme inhibitory properties.
