SimcastLateBlightMCP: Restricted FastMCP Server for Weather-Driven Potato Late Blight Risk and Fungicide Recommendations

This dataset contains restricted research software implementing SimcastLateBlightMCP, a FastMCP server that runs a Simcast-style decision support workflow for potato late blight risk assessment and fungicide application recommendations. The MCP exposes a tool (run_simcast_model) that fetches weather data from WeatherAPI (api.weatherapi.com) using an environment-provided key (SIMCAST_API_KEY), aggregates hourly weather into daily risk variables, computes Blight Units (BU) and Fungicide Units (FU) conditioned on potato variety resistance class, and schedules fungicide applications based on emergence timing and BU/FU threshold triggers. The server also exposes resources to list available countries and potato varieties from a local semicolon-separated variety/resistance file (potato-res-data.csv) and includes prompt templates for guided tool use. This deposit also includes automated tests (pytest) that validate tool/resource registration and behavior, with mocked external API calls for reproducibility. The deposited files are restricted because they currently contain non-public software. Source weather data are obtained via WeatherAPI (https://www.weatherapi.com/).
