In exploration of the current status of research and investigations on sport-related concussions on athletes reviews and critical analyzes ,current research designs and treatments used were of focus. Extensive research of both current research publications and systematic reviews was performed using the York University Library associated search engine Web of Science. Publications were screened using the following criteria: methods for recovery present, date of re-test, diagnostic testing method, gender balance of sample, and the factor tested for among athletes. The IMPACT testing modules was used by 50% of researchers in the publications screened, while the remaining studies utilized a variety of different modules. The majority of re-test dates occurred within three days of the initial concussive incident, 44.44%. Where in conjunction, the majority of studies showed a strong skew toward male sample participants 77.78%.
