This series contains the admission and discharge registers from Lidcombe State Hospital and Home.Early registers are divided into distinct sections. They cover admissions and discharges for the Home, the Hospital, and the yard. There is also a register kept by the general office and one which remains unidentified. All the registers have the same format. They show on the admissions side - name, age, date of admission, total, and remarks; and on the discharge side - name, age, date of admission, date of discharge, total, and remarks.Later registers are numerically ordered by patient number and contain patient name and address only. Note: This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
