We show that striated muscle-expressed genes affected by reduction in UNC-120/SRF activity are not similarly affected by absence of the FHOD-1 formin. This suggests FHOD-1 does not affect striated muscle development via promotion of UNC-120/SRF-dependent transcription. Overall design: mRNA-seq was performed on the Illumina NextSeq 500 platform to measure gene expression in N2 wild-type, XA8001 fhod-1(tm2363), and RW364 unc-120(st364) L3 stage C. elegans larvae grown at 15˚C.
