Biosynthetic pathway of prescription bergenin from Bergenia purpurascens

Bergenia purpurascens contains bergenin, which possesses numerous pharmacological activities and high medicinal value. Due to challenges in chemical extraction and difficulties in artificial cultivation, understanding its biosynthetic pathway can address these issues and enable cellular factory production of bergenin. Therefore, using transcriptomic data, we aim to decipher the genes involved in the biosynthetic pathway of bergenin.
