资源简介:
This data provides the abundance, whole-plant biomass, and spikelet production of Bromus tectorum; native abundance (all species combined); native species richness; exotic species richness; and total species richness in paired shrub and open microsites (i.e., near and away from a focal shrub) at 9 study sites along an environmental gradient across the Great Basin, San Joaquin, and Mojave Deserts, USA. We recorded data for 20 shrub-open pairs (i.e., replicates) at each site. Each data point also gives the site name, replicate (1-20), date of data collection, site-level aridity score for the study year (2020), the average site-level aridity score over the last 20 years, the shrub species, and the volume of the shrub. Data were collected using a 0.25m^2 quadrat subdivided into 100 squares.
