A multicenter prospective 6-month cohort trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of blueberry anthocyanin extract (BAE) supplementation on metabolic health and fatigue in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D), focusing on intervention duration and timing.
Four cohorts:
A: CON-6 (control, received normal drug therapy without BAE for all six months);
B: BAE-3F (received BAE supplementation for the first three months only);
C: BAE-3L (received BAE supplementation for the last three months only);
D: BAE-6 (received BAE supplementation throughout the entire six-month period).
