Wood removal routes in Saxony – Accompanying Points

The dataset covers the turning points recorded in the course of the NavLog project since March 2007 and relevant for logistics along the currently used timber removal routes in the Free State of Saxony. Wood removal routes are transport and return routes that are used in wood harvesting. The accompanying objects include the transition points from the exit path to the public road network, barriers, turning points, bridges, storage places, etc. Each object is given information about size (length, width, height), transit width, tonnage and navigability when loaded. The NavLog project, as a joint project of the forestry and timber industry, aims to create a uniform navigational database across the entire network of forest holdings. The data is used in the exit route map, scale 1:25.000.
