Artificial Intelligence Initiatives in Civil Engineering and Architecture: An Institutional Audit of Leading Universities

This preliminary research dataset maps publicly documented artificial-intelligence-related initiatives in civil and structural engineering and architecture at leading international universities selected using the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject. The dataset records the institution, country or territory, type of institutional response, representative courses, degree programmes, laboratories, research centres or policies, supporting source URLs, and verification notes. Civil and structural engineering and architecture are reported in separate worksheets. The information was collected from publicly accessible institutional webpages and represents a time-stamped research audit rather than an exhaustive assessment or an official university ranking. Preliminary classifications, including machine-assisted suggestions, require independent human verification and may be revised in subsequent versions. Ties in the original subject-ranking selection were retained.
