Rock formation up to 100 m depth

The map gives indications of the likely rock sequence to be found up to 100 m depth, divided into solid rocks, loose rocks, karst rocks, loose rocks over solid rocks, etc. The basis for the classification is the geological map on a scale of 1:200,000 (GUEK 200) This information provides an initial indication of which drilling method is suitable for the respective plant location. For example, in loose rocks such as sand and gravel, a so-called flush drilling process is used. A hammer chisel drilling process is used in solid rocks such as limestone, granite, etc. The dataset provides a basis for large-scale considerations and does not replace the carrying out of detailed investigations.
