Zoning of minimum manure storage capacity (14-50-61) – Normandy

The Ministerial Decree of 19 December 2011, as amended, defining the 5th National Nitrates Programme, laid down the minimum storage capacity for livestock manure that must be available to each farmer. In Annex 2 (Part I), the Order specifies the capacity required according to several criteria. One of the criteria corresponds to the geographical location of the livestock building to take account of agro-pedo-climatic contexts. The geographical areas are based on the map of small agricultural regions, which are themselves divided according to municipal boundaries. Each commune in the vulnerable zone of Lower Normandy is thus included in zone A or zone B of the national division.
