BDN – Flora species observations (minimum scale 1:100.000)

Dataset with confidential access – The precise data of the individual fauna observations of the Naturalistic Databases of the Piedmont Region are made available The floristic archive of the Naturalistic Databases of the Piedmont Region consists of data relating to observations and surveys in the field and bibliography and herbarium data. The data are alphanumeric and geographical (georeferenziation of the point where the observation falls). In order to ensure maximum dissemination of data, but also to protect its prerogatives of ownership and sensitivity, it was considered necessary to define in an organic and regulatory way relations with suppliers and users of naturalistic data outside the Regional Administration, through the preparation of a protocol of “Deontology and rules for the use and access to Regional Naturalistic Data Banks” (D.G.R. No. 23-12615 of 31-05-2004). Access to the dataset in question, which exposes the precise data of each individual observation in the archive with its detailed data sheet, is made available through a WFS service (vers 2.0) of the Complex Feature type and is regulated by this Deontology: it is made unavailable to general internet users and is regulated with profiling within the Environmental Knowledge platform of the Piedmont Region, which is the only service that currently exposes the data.
