Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi deliver phosphate (Pi) to the roots of host plants. The colonization of AM is influenced by Pi levels in the soil. We performed an RNA-sequencing analysis using high-Pi applied roots of L. japonicus. The high Pi nutrient solution was applied to AM roots 0, 3, 6, 12, 24 h, and 7 d before sampling, and all plants were grown for 4 weeks after inoculation. Moreover, we prepared non-mycorrhizal (NM) roots 0, 6, 24 h before sampling which were grown for 4 weeks. The RNA samples extracted from the roots were used for cDNA library, and sequencing was performed using an Illumina HiSeq 2000 instrument. Raw sequencing data are deposited in the DDBJ Sequence Read Archive (accession numbers: DRA004207).
