This is the dataset to support our research article Ocean Warming Weaken Sea Land Breeze in Coastal Megacities. Sea-land breeze (SLB), driven by sea-land thermal contrasts, forms a distinct circulation in coastal cities, crucial for regulating urban heat islands, air quality, and livability. However, its response to rising sea surface temperatures (SST) under global warming remains unclear. In this case, we advance a regional weather model by incorporating daily and diurnal SST variations, enabling the evolution of SLB across 18 major coastal megacities worldwide under different SST variations. The dataset consists of four zip files, which include the result from sensitivity simulations conducted with the Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF) version 4.2.2, using the enhanced high-resolution SST modeling scheme incorporating daily and diurnal variations for different years. 1970.zip and 2010.zip represents the result of historical SST variability's impact on SLB days in sensitivity modeling experiments.2050_SSP245.zip and 2050_SSP585.zip illustrate simulation result contrasts between the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 emission scenarios for 2050.Each compressed file contains 18 CSV files named after megacities, representing the 18 selected region of interest in this study. The CSV files are structured as follows:Columns 1-4 are the temporal parameters include year, month, day and hour (local standard time, LST). Columns 5-8 represent the urban meteorological parameters, include mean pressure (hPa), mean temperature (°C), wind direction and mean wind speed (m/s). Columns 9-12 represent the oceanic meteorological parameters, include mean pressure (hPa), mean temperature (°C), wind direction and mean wind speed (m/s).
