NCEI Accession 0117676 includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from POLARSTERN in the South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South) from 1990-11-17 to 1990-12-30. These data include DELTA HELIUM-3, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HELIUM, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NEON, NITRATE, NITRITE, SALINITY, Tritium (Hydrogen isotope), WATER TEMPERATURE, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by E Fahrbach and W. Roether of Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research and L. Gordon of Columbia University as part of the SR04_ANTIX_2 data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: SR04_ANTIX_2 The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters.
