HS-578T cells overexpressing EP300 show an increase in doxorubicin and paclitaxel resistance, up-regulation of EMT markers together with an increase in motility and invasion, and an increase in the percentage of cancer stem cells and mammosphere formation. Overall design: Cells were stably transfected with an expression vector (pcDNA 3) carrying EP300 cDNA. Control cells were generated with pcDNA 3 only. Pools of at least 200 clones were selected with G418. For the array experiment, RNA isolated from three independent cultures was used for each condition (control vs. EP300-expressing cells).
