People with HIV in Brazil 2010-2022

In 2022, approximately 990,000 people were living with HIV in Brazil, up from around 960,000 cases recorded a year earlier. That year, approximately three in every four people living with HIV were treated with ART. In comparison, less than 60 percent of HIV patients had access to the treatment in 2015 and less than 40 percent in 2010.
