FUTURE SPORTS LEADER: MODERN COMPETENCIES AND NEW DEMANDS

The rapid transformation of global sports, driven by technological innovation, digitalization, globalization, and changing societal expectations, has significantly redefined the role of sports leaders. Contemporary sports organizations require leaders who possess not only technical and managerial expertise but also advanced competencies in strategic thinking, ethical governance, digital literacy, intercultural communication, innovation management, emotional intelligence, and sustainable development. This study examines the emerging competencies and new professional demands placed upon future sports leaders in the twenty-first century. The study concludes that the successful development of future sports leaders requires comprehensive educational reforms, evidence-based competency frameworks, and strong partnerships among universities, sports organizations, governments, and international institutions. Preparing adaptive, innovative, and socially responsible sports leaders will play a critical role in ensuring the sustainable development of sport in an increasingly interconnected world.
