The goal of the study was to decipher the effect of mucin-alginate beads as mucosal matrix on ETEC strain H10407 modulation of microbiota composition/activity.Fermentation batch experiments were performed after inoculation with feces from 6 healthy donors, challenged or not with ETEC strain H10407, with mucin-alginate beads or alginate beads (control) as mucosal matrix.
