The whole genome sequence of Streptomyces murinus reveals its immense potential of secondary metabolites, till date few of them only are exploited. The metabolome study also indicated the presence of active compounds that have not yet recovered. The combined genomic and metabolome study of the strain give insights into more unexploited bioactive compounds.
