CARI-7A Model Data for Flight Campaign Johannesburg (JNB) -> Durban (DUR) -> Cape Town (CPT)

CARI-7A model outputs for three flight legs of the HARM detectorcampaign: JNB -> DUR and DUR -> CPT on 2025-05-25, and CPT -> JNB on2025-06-01. This deposit contains CARI-7A inputs and outputs only. It is providedas the modelled comparison for the HARM detector measurements archivedseparately (see Related Identifiers). CARI-7A is a model; these arenot measured values. ## Model- CARI-7A (FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute), version <4.2>.- CARI-7A reports dose equivalent / effective dose in uSv, ambient dose equivalent H*(10) and ICRP Pub. 103 effective dose, in microsievert (uSv), absorbed dose in uGy (silicon); ## Repository layout- `1_input_files/` CARI-7A waypoint decks (`*.DEG`)- `2_output_files/` CARI-7A outputs (`*.DAT`) ## Input files (`*.DEG`)Waypoint decks used in the CARI-7A waypoint-dose calculation. Eachrow gives one waypoint: `DEG MIN N/S DEG MIN E/W Feet Time (Min)` The header line carries the date and route identifier, e.g.`2025/06/01, 1306, FL-FA206`. ## Output files (`*.DAT`)Columns: - `LAT(N)` latitude (deg, signed)- `LON(E)` longitude (deg, signed)- `DEPTH` atmospheric depth (g/cm^2)- `STEP` waypoint index- `DOSE RATE` dose rate at waypoint (uSv/h)- `TOTAL DOSE` cumulative dose (uSv)- trailing UTC date and time (YYYY MM DD HH MM) Each file ends with a summary block: `GCR MODEL 1 TRANSPORT AND CUTOFFS: 0 SUPERPOSITION: 0``DATE: YYYY/MM/DD HOUR: <HHMM>``<value> TOTAL microSv, ICRP Pub. 103 EFFECTIVE DOSE` The final numeric value is the total effective dose for the route, inmicrosievert. ## Route / file correspondenceOne `.DEG` and one `.DAT` per HARM flight leg.
