<p>3D scans of pieces of the Stannern meteorite. On May 22, 1808, after a series of
loud explosions, some 200–300 stones fell from the sky near
Stannern/Stonařov, in the Czech Republic. </p><p>All pieces except NHMW-MIN-A21 are part of the extensive
collection of minerals from the estate of the merchant Jakob Friedrich
van der Nüll (1750-1823) acquired by the then Imperial and Royal Court
Natural History Cabinet (today’s NHMW) in 1827. </p><p>Sizes:</p><p>NHMW-MIN-A135: 5.5 ×
5.5 × 3 cmNHMW-MIN-A136: 6 × 4 × 3.5 cmNHMW-MIN-A139: 7 × 6.5 × 4.8 cmNHMW-MIN-A140: 5.5 × 5.3 × 3 cm.</p><p>A number of specimens of the Stannern meteorite can be seen in Hall 5 of
the NHM Vienna including this one in showcase Number 47. </p>
