Molecular phenotyping and prediction of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae

We sought to profile CPE using metabolomic analyses in order to identify biomarkers associated with CPE. We looked at combination of CPE and non-CPE isolates, including ESBL-producers. WGS was undertaken to identify the presence of acquired resistance and virulence genes as well as to characterise isolates by attributes including strain type.
